iHUB Australia Outcomes - Data Clearing House
Virtual Buildings Information System (VBIS®) is pleased to have led the Innovation Hub for Affordable Heating and Cooling (iHUB) Data Clearing House’s Sub Project 7 (DCH7) with our project partners CSIRO and PrediQ.
Supported by the City of Melbourne, this project connected five City of Melbourne Buildings into the DCH (Data Cleating House) environment and was able to demonstrate the benefits of using integrated asset classification and semantic modelling to develop mass deployable photovoltaic analytics and energy analytics applications which resulted in improving availability and reducing costs for deployment.
Using the BRICK ontology combined with the VBIS asset classification standard, the Data Clearing House seeks to change the way data is obtained within a building by providing a more standardised process for users to gain access to data.
The Innovation Hub for Affordable Heating and Cooling (i-HUB) Data Clearing House (DCH) project is funded by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH).
i-Hub is helping to facilitate the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry’s transition to a lower emissions future and the stimulation of jobs in the sector.
We look forward to sharing more on the outcomes achieved in the coming weeks as this project reaches its final stages.
