VBIS Launches VBIS Enabled
VBIS launches initiative to support commercial software applications to adopt the VBIS Standard.
To support organisations on the asset management journey, VBIS can now assist software vendors to adopt the VBIS asset classification structure and search syntax standard and ensure compatibility with other VBIS Enabled applications. Adoption of the standard allows software vendors to align with the Victorian Digital Asset Strategy and the Queensland Chief Information Office and become part of the end users ecosystem of interconnected applications.
VBIS has already worked with several software vendors to deploy ecosystems for clients in commercial real estate and education sectors to allow users ease of navigation and interoperability between commercial document management systems, 3D models, BIM and asset management systems.
The high level of interconnectivity defined within the VBIS standard will help ensure users and operators can maximise the strengths of each individual software application, reducing access friction and enhancing usability.
VBIS also offers consulting and support services for organisations which require assistance to develop digital asset management strategies or require assistance in adopting the VBIS standard to ensure organisational objectives are achieved. We are also able to support organisations seeking to enhance Uniclass and Omniclass classifications with the VBIS asset classification structure.
